TCU equestrian’s Ozzie, a Holsteiner who has competed in the English discipline in his last three years at Turning Point Ranch, took home the Farnam Horse of the Month in March as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association.
“Ozzie has been a constant in our competition horses for the past three years,” TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield said. “He is an incredible athlete and teacher who is retiring from our program next month. We are grateful that his donors considered TCU when looking for his next career.”
The 21-year old Ozzie performed exceptionally well in TCU’s last two meets of the year, earning an average score of 85, with a high of 88. Ozzie also found the Equitation on the Flat Most Outstanding Performer on his back in the Frogs meet against Baylor.
