Waco, Texas (January 29, 2018) – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) today announced the most recent additions to the list of sponsors who support the advancement of Women’s Equestrian on the path to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship sport status.
“Fluff Monkey is an exciting new NCEA national sponsor and we look forward to a successful partnership. So many of our teams are huge fans of the Fluff Monkey product. As the number of collegiate programs increases, we look forward to even more opportunities to see Fluff Monkeys at more of our competitions,” said Dr. Leah Fiorentino, Executive Director, NCEA.
"Fluff Monkey is proud to support the NCEA. Education is one of the main components of our eco-friendly product company. We've been giving back since our inception and know that NCEA student-athletes are like minded. The big picture is fostering a ground level introduction between the two worlds. Our special needs staff meet local riders through our community service/work programs as they complete finishing touches to our Fluff Monkeys. It's a beneficial relationship as is our sponsorship of the NCEA. Thank you NCEA for helping us to spread the word of goodness, green thinking and giving back to those less fortunate, " said Kathleen Sheffer, CEO, Fluff Monkey.
“Right now, more than 900 women participate on NCAA equestrian teams across the nation and the number is growing each year. There is a renewed focus on the addition of new collegiate teams through outreach and advancement efforts. “The expansion of national sponsors brings more excitement to the sport of equestrian and we hope this will prove to be a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Kevin Hurley, Senior Associate Athletics Director at Texas A&M University.
"It is a genuine pleasure to be able to facilitate strategic partnerships with great companies like Fluff Monkey, said Tom O’Mara, Co-Chair of the NCEA National Advisory Board. “This company started at a horse show, by a horse show parent, out of necessity for clean boots and is truly an entrepreneurial success story. I loved their story and their product and after hearing it, it came as no surprise that Fluff Monkey wanted to sponsor NCAA Equestrian as it moves from the Emerging Sport status to Championship Status.”
