The Kansas State equestrian team begins their search for their first national title as the fall 2015-16 season gets underway. The Wildcats have high hopes for this season and are ready to take on the exciting journey ahead.

Junior Henley Adkins is coming off a stellar sophomore season in the Hunt Seat discipline. Adkins finished with a record of 20-16-0, while picking up six MOP honors. Among her many accolades following the 2014-15 season, Adkins was named All Big-12 in Equitation Over Fences and in Equitation on the Flat. After the Big 12 Championships, Adkins was awarded NCEA All-American Second Team in Equitation on the Flat and Big 12 Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Year.

Seniors Danielle Kemper and Kara Guy head into the season looking to leave a legacy in the Western arena. A Gilbert, Arizona native, Kemper finished the 2014-15 season with a record of 12-4-1, while picking up two MOP honors. She was named to the NCEA All-American Second Team in Horsemanship and was an All Big-12 Team member in Horsemanship.

After a slow start to the 2014-15 season, Guy proved herself to be a threat in the Reining arena. She ended the 2014-15 season with a record of 10-6-1, and picked up one MOP honor along the way. Guy went on an 8-1 winning streak during the spring season.

The fall season for K-State will be underway on Oct. 3, as the Wildcats travel to Brookings, S.D., to face South Dakota State.
